Since foundations are an essential and costly part of construction, the EB is a vital tool to determine any kind of soil, clay, gravel, rock or mud stability for piling and deep foundations. The EB has generated savings exceeding 50% off traditional high cost and labor-intensive installation. This, along with the improved performance, eliminates risks and liability, making the EB a 21st-century step forward in foundation design. The EB gives the project an ability to ensure safety, accuracy and quality control unlike any other method.

THE EXPANDER BODY: HOW DOES IT WORK?

The EB initially looks like a long tube of sleeves attached to a steel tube. Is inserted into the soil to the required depth, either by pre-drilling, pushing or driving. Is located at the toe of the pile or the anchor. After installation, the body is expanded with grout injection appearing like a water-tight metal balloon. By recording the grouting pressure versus the volume increase, information is transmitted electronically about bearing capacity and soil condition. The EB is so reliable that can be installed vertically, horizontally or diagonally, and is completely reliable as a rock-solid anchor. The EB outperforms traditional piles while saving you time and money.

EBs are available in several sizes ranging from an inflated diameter of 300 mm through 1,200 mm with new products under development.
